    PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Barkakana is a part of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an organization of central government under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Initially it started in 1962 under the name “Central Schools” which was later changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya and got affiliated to CBSE.
    Kendriya Vidyalaya, Barkakana in Ramgarh Dist, Jharkhand, first started in the Railway building of Barkakana in 1993 for the educational needs of Railway employees and the tribal community surrounding the area. The school got its own concrete building beside Barkakana Railway station and got shifted in 2010. The School Building has spacious classrooms, big library of good books, well equipped computer labs, a leveled playground surrounded by high boundary walls from all sides to provide a safe and suitable environment for all round development of child’s personality. It is a co-educational institution from I to XII.
    The quality of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Barkakana has been maintained since inception. The School is known for its clean environment and discipline which provides conducive atmosphere, ideal for learning.
